Our Process

Evaluation and planning.

Let’s get to know you.

To design your perfect home, we need to get to know you. We’ve developed a methodology to understand the why’s behind what you’re hoping to accomplish. This is where our relationship begins.

We ask the critical questions about your home.

  • How many people live there?
  • Do you entertain?
  • Do you use a dining room?
  • What currently does and doesn’t work?
  • What are your goals for the space?
  • How long do you plan to be there?
  • What is your budget?

How much do you want to spend?

Everyone has a budget. An open conversation about what your budget can buy is important for setting expectations. The parts of the plan that will stay or go to bring you the best value for your investment is always at top of mind.

There will be surprises.

The construction of your project will be the collaboration of many talented people, all of whom bring their skills and experience to the site when they arrive. The human element provides the creativity necessary to complete your space and it opens the door to occasional error. Hidden damage or structural obstacles may also be uncovered. What matters is how these challenges are addressed. We ALWAYS address them: immediately, effectively and without hesitation to the ultimate satisfaction of our clients.

Pre-construction

Our team will assess the current assets of your home to learn if walls, cabinets, windows, plumbing, electrical and HVAC elements may stay where they are or whether something more dramatic is required. Together, we establish the scope of the project.

The design evolves as we determine together the scope of what you’d like to accomplish and how much you’d like to invest. Scale drawings, cabinet elevations, reflected ceiling plans and plumbing locations are all agreed on in advance for a better project flow that stays in line with the agreed upon budget. Once all of the details are finalized, we will produce final construction documents for the purpose of inspection and permitting if required.

General contracting

You may ask yourself…why hire an interior designer who has a general contractor’s license? Because we are uniquely qualified to implement your dream remodel project or new build.

The beauty and functionality of a space depends completely on the level of execution: plumbing integrity, electrical complexities, framing and structural confidence, drywall texture and finishes, paint quality, tile work, slab fabrication. Because we not only design your space but build it as well…we make certain that everything is done to our discerning standards.

Interior design

The style of our client is the style we design toward. No two families are alike, neither are their preferences. Every project is distinct from the next and that’s what makes what we do exciting. You will never walk into a project we’ve done and see only “us.” You will see the story of the client: their needs met, their tastes satisfied, their lifestyle enhanced. From extensive remodels to a simple furnishings refreshed, every client receives our experienced understanding of color, style and scale applied to their unique circumstances and aesthetic.

Let's work together.
